Branch Manager at GN Transport in Lyon
GN Transport is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lyon Branch Manager to join our dynamic team. As a leading Sweden-France logistics company, GN Transport is committed to providing top-notch transport solutions across Western Europe. GN Transport has been present in France since 1989 and our newly opened terminal and warehouse is part of our expansion in the region. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in transport planning and management, with a strong focus on optimizing operations and expanding market presence.
Responsibilities:
- Have a main responsibility for the day-to-day operation of our newly started Lyon terminal and warehouse.
- Integrate France planning into the GN Transport structure.
- Build and manage a new planning department in Lyon.
- Develop the French market by with subcontractors and partners.
- Oversee day-to-day transport operations, focusing on export and import planning via road, intermodal, and RO-RO.
- Ensure timely and cost-efficient transport deliveries, maintaining daily communication with clients and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with GN Sweden and GN Luxembourg teams to ensure the right cargo are delivered to the right locations at the right time.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in transport planning and management, with a focus on Western Europe.
- Strong skills in project management and team leadership.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, warehouse management systems and transport management systems.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to develop new business opportunities and build long-term relationships.
- Fluently in French and English.
